CTP Curriculum & Schedule

CURRICULUM

Dancers must be 3 by September 17, 2016

Creative Movement is a one-hour class in Ballet and Tap that introduces both movement and rhythm in a fun, nurturing environment. Basic Ballet positions are taught as well as basic Tap technique. (Dancer must be age 2.5 by September 17, 2016 for the Saturday 10am Class)

Dancers must be 5 by December 31, 2016

Please choose one or more of the following classes:

  • Ballet/Tap Combo is a 75-minute class that focuses on Ballet and Tap technique and gives students a solid foundation of Ballet technique and explores the expressive style of Tap dance.
  • Hip-Hop is a 45-minute class focusing on the popular urban culture style of dance that provides a funkier edge to the basic styles of dance.

Dancers must be 7 by December 31, 2016

Choose from our one-hour classes including: Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, Jumps and Turns and Musical Theater Dance.

Dancers must be 8 by December 31, 2016

Saturday Breaking, Saturday Tap (AL), Sunday MT Dance, and Thursday Ballet/Jazz Technique

Dancers must be 10 by December 31, 2016

Available classes listed in Teal, Orange and Blue

One-hour classes in your choice of Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz , Hip-Hop, Breaking, Musical Theater Dance, Latin Jazz, Jumps & Turns, Lyrical and Contemporary. Classes are offered on weekends, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. We offer levels ranging from beginner to advanced.

Dancers must be 13 by December 31, 2016

Available classes listed in Black and Orange

One-hour classes in your choice of Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Breaking, Musical Theater Dance, Latin Jazz, Jumps & Turns, Lyrical and Contemporary. Classes are offered on weekends, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. We offer levels ranging from beginner to advanced.

Dancers must be 10 by December 31, 2016

These are open to dancers ages 10-18 who meet the requirements noted (if any) for the 2016 - 2017 season of dance.

PLACEMENT

Students ages 7+ registering in Intermediate or Level 2 and above classes must attend placement in order to confirm their enrollment. Placement in appropriate/required levels will determine if they will continue in all classes selected.

Class placement is based on the evaluation—not prior level—and is determined at the discretion of evaluators and CTP directors.
