Julian Laro, born and raised in New York, began dancing at the age of 18 in Queens based dance crew, World Class Dancers. After the group disbanded in 2010, Julian took his career into his own hands and set out to obtain a Bachelor of Arts in Music Management from Baruch College while working part-time as a Hip-Hop dance instructor in various dance schools/studios on Staten Island and Brooklyn. His time as an instructor allowed him to develop skills and training he had not previously received in his dance crew and granted him the opportunity to branch out. Influenced by choreographers such as Laurianne Gibson, Luam, Rhapsody James, and Jose ‘BoyBoi’ Tena, Julian has created a broad collection of unique and original choreography that varies in form and reflect his passion. In 2014, he received the "Young Choreographer" award at Dance America competition as well as placing 1st overall with his outstanding choreography at Dance Xplosion competition.
In a short period of time, Julian has gone on to accomplish many career endeavors spanning across Dance, Television and Fashion. Professionally, He has had the opportunity to choreograph music videos for Pop/R&B artist Alessandra Guercio (American Idol & The Voice) and Dancehall legend Mr. Vegas. He has also danced behind rapper Flo Rida during the finale of America's Got Talent, rapper Silento at New York's Youtube Summit and closed for Madonna's Hilary Clinton Campaign Concert. Julian has also worked as a runway model and dancer for Kenzo x H&M's New York fashion show under the direction of Ryan Heffington and has been featured in Vogue. He has also had the opportunity in being a featured dancer on ABC sitcom Manhattan Love Story and an actor on Coca-Cola's "Share A Coke With Humanity" commercial. Most recently, you can see him on Nikelodeon, CartoonNetwork & MTV starring in the nationwide "Airheads Bites Candy" commercial.
Julian continues to work towards becoming a prominent dancer in the commercial world and learning different styles of dance.
