Michelle Barber has been a choreographer/teacher for the past fifteen years. Her dance career began in her hometown of Cleveland, OH, where she earned an Arts degree with an emphasis in dance. To further her training, Michelle relocated and studied at Broadway Dance Center (BDC) in NYC.

In 1997, she began assisting jazz classes at BDC as part of Frank Hatchett's VOP staff. Soon after, Michelle earned her own classes at BDC and has become one of the studio’s most popular Master Faculty members. Her classes are innovative and passionate, designed to inspire and open the soul.

Her professional credits are proof of her talent and versatility as a choreographer. Most recently, Michelle has been chosen to honor Rob Marshall with her choreography in the 2003 Elan Awards in NYC. In 2002, she choreographed a stage show for Dance Teacher Magazine. Michelle's choreography has been featured in musical theatre productions, college dance team performances and dance competitions nationwide. She has been a guest artist at Franck Escuela de Danza in Morelia, Mexico and at Muhlenburg College and Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA. She has also been on faculty with Chicago National Association of Dance Masters, Showstopper and Dance Olympus. Her dancers have appeared in numerous BDC Performance Outlets and “The Best of...2000.”

In addition to teaching and choreographing, Michelle is an accomplished performer. She was seen in the second national tour of Guys & Dolls and has performed in various musicals, industrials and television specials.
