Cat Cogliandro, a native of Houston, Texas, grew up studying at Rowland School of Ballet under the direction of Sheryl Rowland. There, Cat trained with Kingwood Jazz & Company and Kingwood Dance Theatre, and studied with choreographers Peter Chu, Jessica Hendricks, JT Horenstein and Tammy Dyke.
After high school, Cat was accepted to The Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase and received her BFA in Dance. Since then, Cat has worked with Loni Landon, Ellenore Scott, Jon Rua, Brice Mousset, Al Blackstone, Nicholas Ross (Nicholas Andre Dance), Mike Esperanza (BARE Dance Company), Brook Notary (The Pulse Project), Talia Favia (The Difference Between) and Jason Gorman (Marrow).
Cat has worked with Sonya Tayeh on multiple projects, including The Last Goodbye (Alex Timbers), Fighting Gravity (Michael Counts) and Season 10 of So You Think You Can Dance. Cat continues to teach and choreograph nationally and internationally, including The Edge, Millennium Dance Complex, Broadway Dance Center, The Pulse On Tour Teacher Workshop, Capitol Kickline and Wild Dance Intensive, and has assisted choreographers such as Sonya Tayeh, Mishay Petronelli, Sheila Barker and Lindsay Nelko. Her work has been presented at The Young Choreographers Festival, Young! Tanzsommer, Sirens After Dark, Jared Grimes's Feel Good, Dancin' Downtown at The Joyce, The Riverside Church and The Pulse Showcase Finale in New York City.
