Richard J. Hinds is a NYC based Director/Choreographer and is currently the Associate Director for Disney's Newsies on Broadway. He graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan and recently choreographed for DanceBreak 2011. As a performer, Richard has appeared in the National and International touring companies of Fosse, Cats, Grease, High School Musical, was a member of the Original American Company of We Will Rock You and has been seen in numerous Regional productions including West Side Story, Waiting For The Moon, Evita, Chicago, and The Pirate.

Richard's Directing and Choreography credits include DanceBreak 2011, Fame (Macau International Music Festival), Cabaret (Kansas City Repertory Theatre), Joseph... (Capital Playhouse), The Sound of Music, All Shook Up, Pump Boys and Dinettes, Hairspray (New Theatre); Naughty! (NYMF); Tease! A Night of Burlesque (The Cutting Room); Life’s Changing Tide (Laurie Beechman Theatre). Associate/Assistant: Disney's Newsies (Paper Mill Playhouse), 9 to 5 (1st National Tour), High School Musical (Disney’s National and International tours), A Christmas Story (Kansas City Repertory Theatre/5th Ave Theatre), The First Wives Club (The Old Globe), Pippin (CTG and Deaf West), The Happy Embalmer (NYMF), A Wonderful Life (Paper Mill Playhouse); The Pirate (Prince Music Theatre), Grease (Lenape Regional PAC), Rockers On Broadway (B.B. King’s), Broadway Under The Stars (NYC & Company), Frankenstein (37 ARTS, Off-Broadway), Drama Desk Awards. Richard will be the Associate Director/Choreographer for the upcoming National Tour of Jekyll and Hyde.
