Richard J. Hinds is currently the Associate Director for Disney's Newsies (Broadway/National Tour). 

Richard's directing and choreography credits include Saturday Night Fever (Gateway Playhouse/Ogunquit Playhouse), How To Succeed…, Evita (Flat Rock Playhouse), Smokey Joe’s Cafe (Capital Repertory Theatre), Fame (Macau International Music Festival), The Fig Leaves are Falling (Connelly Theatre), Cabaret (Kansas City Repertory Theatre), Forever Plaid, Smokey Joe’s Cafe, Joseph…, The Sound of Music, All Shook Up, Pump Boys and Dinettes, Hairspray (New Theatre), Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, America's Got Talent, and Good Afternoon America (featuring Liza Minnelli). 

Richard has been the Associate/Assistant on Jekyll and Hyde (Broadway), Il Divo: A Musical Affair (Broadway), Here Lies Love (Off-Broadway/West End), 9 to 5 (1st National/UK Tour), Disney's High School Musical (National/International Tours), Come From Away, Up Here (La Jolla Playhouse), A Christmas Story (Kansas City Repertory Theatre/5th Ave Theatre), The Last GoodbyeThe First Wives Club (The Old Globe), Pippin (CTG and Deaf West), A Wonderful Life (Paper Mill Playhouse), The Pirate (Prince Music Theatre), Grease (Lenape Regional PAC), Rockers On Broadway (B.B. King’s), Broadway Under The Stars (NYC & Company), Frankenstein (Off-Broadway), Drama Desk Awards (Hammerstein Ballroom) and Samsung Unpacked (Radio City Music Hall).

As a performer, Richard has appeared in the National and International touring companies of Fosse, Cats, Grease, High School Musical, was a member of the Original American Company of We Will Rock You and has been seen in numerous regional productions including West Side Story, Waiting For The Moon, Evita, Chicago and The Pirate.
