Holly Kerr is a graduate of the Univ. of North Carolina School of the Arts high school ballet program. As a teaching artist for the New York City Ballet Education Department in the New York City Ballet Workout high school ballet educational program, she conducts professional development and teacher trainings for NYC high school dance teachers at New York City Ballet studios and Lincoln Center Institute summer program. She conducts master classes and choreography workshops based on the New York City Ballet repertory for high school dance students at the New York City Ballet studios and in performing arts high schools such as Frank Sinatra School of the Arts.

For the commercial New York City Ballet Workout program, she has conducted teacher trainings in ballet and fitness pedagogy and master classes and choreography workshops for ballet teachers from around the world at New York City Ballet studios, in London, England and Dallas/Fort Worth.

She was a teaching artist for the American Ballet Theatre Education Department in three elementary and middle school ballet programs and was a resident teacher/choreographer in ABT’s “Make a Ballet” high school ballet program.

Holly has taught master classes for the BDC Teacher Workshop and ISVP workshops, and created ballets for the BDC Arts in Motion Performing Company. She served on the ballet faculties of Denver Ballet Academy and Brant Lake Dance Camp. She has taught master classes for The Open Center, Success America, The Printing House, New York Sports Clubs, Laurent Tours, Dance Alliance Dance +20 Festival and The Greenhouse Dance Weekend. She has lectured on ballet at the National Museum of Dance in Saratoga Springs, New York and at workshops at the New York City Ballet studios.

She was soloist with Ballet Colorado, principal dancer of MGM’s Hallelujah, Hollywood, and dancer in Ziegfeld: Strains of Haunting Refrains, Edison Theatre. She toured nationally and internationally as one of The Flirts, the 1980s pop trio. She has performed as a dancer, singer, and actress in film, television and theatre productions. She holds B.A. in Dance Education from SUNY Empire State College (in conjunction with DEL Dance Education Laboratory), and is a M.A. candidate (2011) in Ballet in Secondary and Higher Education. Holly is a certified Pilates and A.I. Stretch Instructor and American Council on Exercise Personal Trainer. Unions: SAG,AFTRA,AEA. Holly writes and lectures on ballet and fitness for ballet dancers.
