Amira Mor is an internationally renowned belly Dancer. She was born and raised in the Middle East , where she was infused with a love for music and dance. She has received world-wide acclaim as a performer, choreographer, producer, director and certified fitness instructor and has drawn a large, devoted audience has made her one of the world’s most sought-after contemporary belly dancers. Amira is an inspiration to many women around the world.
She is the director of the Jewels of the Nile Dance Company and has produced many shows including the Off -Broadway production, Secrets of the Desert. Amira has appeared in music videos with John Cougar Mellencamp “Another Sunny Day” and the Spin Doctors “Cleopatra's Cat” and has been featured on numerous other national television programs including the Caroline Rhea Show, Emeril Live, Blind Date, Faking It, and the Fox Morning Show. She has also instructed a myriad of students, including Britney Spears, at the Broadway Dance Center in New York City, and PBS.
A few of her favorite performances and venues include the Lincoln Center with the New York City Ballet, celebrity-studded Friar’s Club Roasts, and the Ornette Coleman Jazz Festival in Cologne, Germany. Amira has enjoyed performing for the Prince and Princess of Morocco, the Prime Minister of Jordan, the mayor of New York City, musical legends Robert Plant and Sting, comedian Jackie Mason, Eve Ensler, V day, Jane Fonda, United Nations and many more.
