Jocelyn Smith, a Mississippi native, began her training in her mother’s dance and gymnastics studio. She went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Birmingham-Southern College where she studied Vaganova ballet technique and Mark Morris modern dance technique. Her senior year she was elected as the Student Coordinator of the Dance Department, and in 2008, she received the award for Excellence in Dance from the B-SC Fine and Performing Arts Council. She has studied jazz, theater, latin, hip-hop, classical character, gymnastics, aerial arts, and other forms of dance at various institutions throughout the country.

Since moving to New York City, Jocelyn has become very involved in the fitness industry.  She works with hundreds of students throughout the city each week at various studios and gyms. Jocelyn is Pilates Mat certified from Power Pilates, a ZUMBA Fitness instructor, and a NASM certified personal trainer. Her passion for dance and choreography plus her energetic spirit help to create motivating and exciting fitness classes that keep her students coming back for more!  Jocelyn loves living, learning, creating, and teaching her art in New York City!
