Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How many students qualify as a group?
At BDC, a group is six or more students traveling together, taking a minimum of 10 classes combined, and purchasing their classes at the same time.

Do we have to register our group before we arrive?
Yes, please register at least 72 hours in advance using our online form. Registering in advance helps us provide you with a wonderful group experience at our best rates. Registrations received with less than 72 hours advance notice are subject to an Express Booking Surcharge.

Do we have to choose the classes we are going to take before we arrive?
This is best, yes! Due to a number of factors, placement in regularly-scheduled classes is limited for groups. In order to accommodate your requests, we ask that you contact the Group Services director at least 24 hours prior to your arrival.

How do we know what classes to take?
Our staff is happy to assist you in organizing your students’ schedules so that they are placed in classes best suited to their individual needs.

How old do you have to be to take open class at BDC?
Our Drop-In Classes are restricted to students 13 years of age and up. There are a handful of teachers in each discipline that may choose to accommodate students between the ages of 10 and 13 in their basic and beginner level classes. Please contact Group Services in advance to obtain permission for your younger students.

Can my students take their classes together?
Our staff will do their best to accommodate your request, however, this is dependent upon the size of your group and the classes you request. In most cases, the level and preferences of your students vary within the group, so naturally, the classes selected should reflect that. We feel strongly that your dancers will flourish if encouraged to take classes seperately (the amount of students per group in each drop-in class should not exceed 8).

Can parents and chaperones observe the classes?
Yes! We welcome class observation as we believe there is much to learn through watching. Our studios have large viewing windows and plenty of space to get comfortable.

What is the best time of year for me to bring my students?
Groups are welcome all year ‘round. Our busiest season is during the summer months, so visits during this time should be planned well in advance.
