City Harvest Food Drive
Broadway Dance Center is proud to support the largest food drive in New York City!
Help feed New York's hungry this holiday season by dropping off food donations in our studio lobby now through December 15.
City Harvest helps feed the more than one million New Yorkers that face hunger each year, and together we can make a big difference!
Most helpful food items:
- canned fruit
- canned vegetables
- canned proteins (i.e. tuna or salmon)
- macaroni and cheese
- peanut butter (plastic jars)
- hot and cold cereal (packaged, family-sized)
World AIDS Week
In support of World AIDS Week, dance teachers across New York City will donate a portion of classes to Dancers Responding to AIDS. Teachers and dance institutions will donate $1 per student attending class in support of DRA.
Philippines Relief Fund
Stop by the front desk and contribute to the BDC relief fund for the Philippines. All donations will be matched by Broadway Dance Center and 100% of the contributions will go to the Red Cross in efforts to aid in the recovery of the typhoon devastation in central Philippines.

Leap for Life with Jamie Salmon
Broadway Dance Center ballet faculty member Jamie Salmon is celebrating her 50th birthday in a big way! As a two-time cancer survivor, Jamie has a renewed joy for life and would like to spend her birthday celebrating the milestone with her students, while making a donation of all class proceeds to Gilda's Club NYC.
Gilda’s Club New York City creates welcoming communities of free support for everyone living with cancer – men, women, teens and children – along with their families and friends. Our innovative program is an essential complement to medical care, providing networking and support groups, workshops, educational lectures and social activities, all free of charge.
If you can't make it to class, but would like to make a donation to Gilda's Club along with the Leap For Life class participants, you can make a donation in any increment at the BDC Front Desk.
THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR COMING and making this such a success!
