Workshop Description: Feeling overwhelmed at movement calls? Scared to take dance class? Lainie's Intro to Theater Dance Workshop will get you dancing in a fun, supportive, and positive environment. She'll teahc you the steps and terminology you need to know, and tips on how to pick up combinations fast. The ideal class for singers, actors, and beginning dancers! This Workshop is geared toward musical theater professionals and pre-professionals who want to brush up on their movement/ dance skills for auditions, and is created specifically for the beginiing level student. It is also ideal for ANYONE who wants to try Theater Dance but perhaps cannot commit to an 8-week ABW session.

About Lainie:
Lainie Munro is a New York-based director, choreographer and performer. Most recently, she performed in the Cameron Mackintosh/ National Theater of Great Britain production of "My Fair Lady," which toured 26 cities across the U.S.A., including the Kennedy Center Opera House in Washington, D.C. Regional Roles include Velma in "Chicago," Diana in "Of Thee I Sing," Helene in "Sweet Charity," Kristine in "A Chorus Line" and Phyllis in the European tour of "42nd Street."

Her choreography credits include an episode of "Hope and Faith" starring Kelly Ripa, "Oklahoma!" starring Rue McClanahan for the Brroadway Series of Charlotte, "Das Barbecu" for the Arvada Center in Denver, "Crazy For You" for FSU's Mainstage, and regional productions of "Seven Brides...," "Barnum," "Grand Hotel," "Fiddler on the Roof," and "Joseph... Dreamcoat." Her directing credits include "Great Day" for the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C., "Cabaret" for Weathervane Rep, and two revuews she created for Cunard's Queen Elizabeth 2: "That's Entertainment" and "Swing time."
