Born and raised in Sweden, Maria Malmstrom has been dancing since the age of six. She trained diligently in many styles including Jazz, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Waacking and Voguing. Her passion took her to Copenhagen Contemporary Dance School and later to London where she pursued her training at Pineapple Dance School.

Maria's decision to come to New York to study at Broadway Dance Center further ignited her passion to stay and work in the dance industry. Maria has appeared on Good Morning America, The Today Show, Eurovision Song Contest on SVT in Sweden, Danish Music Awards and Mentor in Denmark. She’s a part of the UBCTV Mix and a proud member of The Legendary House of Ninja.

Maria has appeared as a freeestyle dancer in numerous music videos such as Tamer Hosny feat Shaggy’s single Smile and worked on the release of Cheryl Burke’s clothing Line Ideology and the magazine Admirable. Recently she was back in Sweden teaching at The Hip Drop Dance Complex.

Maria has worked with top choreographers including La Jon Dantzler, Benny Ninja, Rhimes Lecointe (UK), Ryan Daniel Beck and Toniah Pedersen. Having trained within many different styles, Maria continues to learn, grow, develop, and create new movement and live a life full of dancing.
