Ellenore Scott (she/her) is a New York based professional dancer, master teacher and choreographer. As a dancer, Ellenore was both a finalist (Season Six) and All-Star (Season Eight) on hit television show So You Think You Can Dance?

Class Descriptions

Contemporary Jazz

Class begins with a warm-up incorporating improv to discover and loosen the body. In the center we will utilize Modern technique and Ballet fundamentals to align the center and engage the core.

Moving to task-based improv across the floor, dancers will learn to move based on their own dance vocabulary in “challenges” and tasks involving dynamics, musicality, shapes, and qualities. After a series of tasks, dancers will learn a phrase combining all the tools they learned in class.

Ellenore’s phrases change with every class, ranging from Contemporary to Hip-Hop influenced work and pieces with acting elements. Ellenore’s class is meant to challenge dancers of all types and backgrounds, and teach them in a space where they feel comfortable to explore and move in a judgment-free zone.
