Annual Program Policies

Registration for the 2020-2021 season will begin on June 10th at 12pm EST for returning students and July 1  at 12pm EST for new students.

Student class placement is based on the evaluation and not prior level. Placement is determined at the discretion of the evaluators and directors.

Registration is required before attending placement. Placement in appropriate/required levels will determine if the dancer will continue in all classes selected. If the level requirement is not met after placement, students may not be able to continue in certain classes.

Please view our Schedule page for placement dates and times.

Placement class is NOT necessary for beginner students, those under the age of 7, and anyone enrolling in beginner level classes. Beginner students may register for any (age appropriate) Beginner or Beginner/Intermediate classes.

If your class requires placement, it will be noted on the schedule and also when you register.

Any ballet and jazz class that is 1.5 hours, ages 10+ must attend placement.

Both new and returning students are required to attend placement if his/her class requires it.

Dancers will be notified of placement levels via JackRabbit Portal no later than September 12th.

View our Tuition page for most up-to-date tuition prices and discounts.

  • A 5% discount is given to those making annual payments at the time of registration.
  • If you select the monthly payment plan, payments are auto billed on the 1st of each month.

If your dancer drops a class or the program after October 19, you will be charged for the following month's tuition. You must notify the CTP staff via email at [email protected] (W45) and/or [email protected] (W65). If no notification is given when dropping classes, YOU WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ENTIRE TUITION PAYMENT.

No refunds, for any reason, will be given after October 19, 2020.

Taking annual classes at both locations?

  • We will honor the tuition discount if your dancer is taking annual classes at both locations. The discount will be applied to the location at which your dancer is taking the fewest classes.
Late Fees

If tuition payments are not received by the 15th of the month, a $40 late fee will be added to your account balance.

All payments will be set to Autobill on the first of each month.

We accept Mastercard, Visa, or American Express for online autopay.

Registration Fees

There is a $50 non-refundable registration fee for all NEW students

Showcase and Costume Fees

View our Calendar to see due dates for Showcase and Costume fees.

Showcase and Costume fees will be posted to your account in November-you may log onto your account to pay fees anytime up to December 1, 2020.

If you’re on the Annual or AutoPay plan, these fees will be drafted on December 1, 2020.

Payment plans for costume fees can be made available to those registered in 4 or more classes. You must contact [email protected] before December 1, 2020 to be set up on one of these plans.

The average class size has 18 students. We must have a minimum of 6 registered students in order to hold a class. If there are less than 6 dancers registered the class will become a Semester Class.

If a class exceeds 10 dancers, the class will be divided into two groups where each group is set on a bi-weekly schedule, alternating in-person and virtual. In-person dancers are free to opt into virtual-only classes at any point in the season as your safety is our top priority.

Occasionally, classes may exceed 18. These are generally in our more advanced levels for older students. Classes for ages 3-6 years have an average class size of 15 students.

Our annual program is a commitment from September-June. To best support your child’s training, CONSISTENT ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED.

  • Students are allowed a total of 4 absences for the entire season.
  • If more than 4 absences occur during the dance season, you may be asked to withdraw from the program.
  • Absences include school testing, religious commitments, illness, family events, etc.
  • Students are required to attend the 3 classes leading up to the showcase.
  • Students are required to attend the Showcase dress rehearsal in June.
  • If your child has a planned absence, written documentation must be emailed to [email protected] (W45) or [email protected] (W65)  prior to the event.
  • For their safety, your child will not be able to participate in class if they arrive more than 10 minutes late for an hour class or 20 minutes late for a ninety-minute class. They must observe the class and take notes. This will be strictly enforced.

It is imperative to your child’s success that this program is viewed as a serious commitment.

Professional Children

Children who work professional jobs are allowed a total of 6 absences for the season. If absences exceed six, they will be asked not to participate in the showcase, but may continue classes. Written proof documentation of the job must be given to Allie Beach prior to the job’s start date. The 6-class extension only applies to documented jobs. Absences for auditions are discouraged.

Make-up Class Policy

Annual students are entitled to two make-up classes for the season. Parent/Guardian must email [email protected] (W45) or [email protected] (W65) to coordinate a make-up class. All make-up classes must be scheduled within two weeks of the missed class and be in the same genre and level of dance as the original class.

Are you trying to decide which class to register for? If you are still undecided, we invite you to participate in a trial class!  Come try a class of your choice for a fee of $35.  If you decide to then register for that class, your trial fee will be deducted from your tuition!

  • All participants will be charged prior to being sent the Trial Class Link
  • No trial classes will be permitted after January 15th, 2021

In order to ensure a quiet learning atmosphere and environment where our students can concentrate without distraction, observers are permitted to watch from our monitors in the lobby.

Should you have any questions regarding your child’s class or training, you may always email or call us.

We end our Annual season with a captivating showcase at a prestigious New York City Theater. The showcase gives students the chance to display what they have learned throughout the year. All students are expected to participate in the Showcase.

There are additional fees for Showcase and each costume due in December.
