As a performer, Doug has been in both The National and Regional Tours of Singin’ In The Rain, A Chorus Line, West Side Story, My One and Only, Musical Millennium, TapAttack, On Your Toes, and 42nd Street.
Doug has had the opportunity to train with such Tap Masters as Brenda Bufalino, Gregory Hines, Henry Le Tang, Danny Daniels, Steve Condos, Randy Skinner, and Karen Baker. Currently, he is teaching both Tap and Musical Theater classes throughout the United States and is pleased to be working with with the Children And Teen Program at BDC.
As the Artistic Director of Contemporary Dance Arts, Doug is dedicated to creating new works for Theater, Dance Theater, Film, Television, Web Series, Special Events and Dance Festivals. Recently, he received Outstanding Choreography nominations for Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat, Music Man, Grease, Hairspray, and Primal Vision, A Contemporary Ballet inspired by the life, art and spirit of Keith Haring with an Original Score by Marty Beller. Other Recent Productions with the Summer Theater of New Canaan Include: Carousel, You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown, Camelot, Seussical, Big River, and South Pacific.
